This is a replica of a Bugatti Type 52 which was a half-scale electric racing car for children based on the Bugatti Type 35 racer. The original was built for Roland Bugatti, the second son of Ettore and the Type 52 was produced at the Molsheim factory between 1927 and 1930. The cars were frequently used both as playthings and for more serious racing among the children of the European elite.  Our replica has working brakes, steering, throttle pedal and driveshaft and has a working electric motor installed.
