A Tabriz design carpet, with pure silk pile, hand woven on a cotton foundation to 256 knots per square inch. 

The terracotta and pale blue central medallion sits on a striking ivory field, surrounded by stylized blossoms, serrated leaves and leafy tendrils on a blue field. The terracotta double border is separated by a deep blue floral pattern. After a late 19th Century original.
