Equestrian oil painting on canvas of a 19th Century, British horse race in the manner of 'Down The Stretch' by Alfred F de Prades (1844-1883), a French-born equestrian artist who exhibited at the British Institution from 1858-67.
The painting has been treated with ageing varnish to mellow the paint, then stretched and mounted in a hand made 3" frame with custom coloured gold finish.
