About this Piece
A George II style overmantel mirror with branch and leaf detail with leaf-scroll cresting and apron. Inspired by an original, circa 1755.
The mahogany frame has been hand carved in mahogany after an original design, circa 1755, but finished in a bespoke water gilded and painted finish using 23¾ carat white gold leaf and the painted areas waxed to add depth and tone.
