About this Piece
The Tudor Knole is inspired by an important original drop arm sofa in Knole House, Kent - the design has been adapted to meet the demands of current day comfort levels. Traditionally upholstered over a hand made solid beech frame - dowelled, screwed and glued for strength. The seat has individual steel coil springs which are hand tied and sewn onto hessian webbing within a frame.
The seat and back cushions are filled with duck feathers for a traditional look and feel, complemented by two feather filled bolster cushions. Upholstered in Ian Sanderson Zarina Bhemian Green fabric - The most elaborate of multi-coloured paisleys woven on Jacquard looms in a kaleidoscope of colours. Zarina is a mirrored highly intricate design full of opulence, lavish in its look and luxurious in its texture.
