Althorp Food and Drink Festival 2019
The Althorp Food and Drink Festival is an award-winning, family-friendly event which celebrates the joy of world-class gastronomy while supporting great local producers and small, independent suppliers.
Now in its fifth year, the Althorp Food and Drink Festival has gained an exceptional reputation, both within the local community and nationwide, for being a wonderful opportunity for friends and family to come together and experience the pleasures of food and drink. Now, the team behind the festival is building on this success by, once again, delivering some of the most show-stopping food and drink from Northamptonshire and the neighbouring counties, allowing people from far and wide to explore and enjoy the delicious delights that the region has to offer.
Taking place at Althorp from the 11th to the 12th of May 2019, the Food and Drink Festival is an unmissable opportunity to be entertained at one of England’s most important great houses. The historic house Althorp has been the seat of the Spencer family for more than 500 years during which time it has housed some of the greatest works of art in history and entertained the most significant names. For centuries, Althorp has been known around the world for its breath-taking scenery and architecture, so, where could be a better home to such a quintessentially English celebration?
By embracing a fun-filled family atmosphere, Althorp Food and Drink Festival makes sure that all attendees leave feeling full of both fantastic food and inspirational new ideas. This year, the multi-award-winning chef, Ken Hom OBE will be headlining the festival on Saturday 11th May alongside Mich Turner MBE, Eva Humphries and Aneeka Ludra of Dadimas. On Sunday 12th May, internationally renowned chef, Jean-Christophe Novelli will be taking centre stage among an incredible line-up of celebrity chefs demonstrating their skills in the Cookery Theatre. Guests are even able to enjoy an exclusive 90-minute cookery class.
But that?s not all. Tickets to the festival also include access to plenty more ways to explore culinary inspiration and try truly amazing produce. Among the highlights of this year?s Althorp Food and Drink Festival, you will be able to enjoy:
