About this Piece
The Salterton is a transitional design inspired by the aesthetics of the traditional high sided sofas in Knole House, Kent. However, the arms are fixed and streamlined whilst the hand nailed decoration to the front panel replaces the necessity of wooden finials and tie backs. Traditionally upholstered over a hand made solid beech frame - dowelled, screwed and glued for strength. The seat has individual steel coil springs which are hand tied and sewn onto hessian webbing within a frame.
The seat cushions are shown in foam for lasting rigidity and support (fibre also available). The scatter cushions are filled with duck feather for sumptuous comfort. Upholstered in a high quality fabric sourced directly from Belgian mills, with coordinating hand made tie backs securing the drop arms. The sofa sits on shaped wooden legs all around.
This fabric is normally band 4 category but is currently offered at promotional prices available on all sizes to order.
