About this Piece
A giltwood overmantel mirror after an original from our archives originating from Biggs of Maidenhead, run by our family. The frame has been entirely hand carved in solid mahogany and water gilded in 23¾ carat gold leaf, toned with a ‘bright and matt’ effect, the highlighted areas burnished with an agate stone and there is slight distressing to expose the bole beneath.
