About this Piece
An impressionist landscape oil on canvas in the manner of 'Woman With A Parasol In A Garden' by Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841 - 1919) . The original was painted by Renoir in 1875 having evolved a technique of broken brushstrokes using bold complementary colours. Pleasurable to look at. Renoir's work seems always to be about enjoyable occasions, and reveals no great seriousness in his subjects. The original hangs at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum, Madrid, Spain.
The painting has been stretched and mounted in a 3" hand made swept frame in light antique finish.
