This Large Baroque Giltwood and Gesso Style Mirror is a stylish statement for your home.

Gilded in dutch metal and comprising a rectangular frame, it is decorated with “C” scrolls, flowers, and winged cherubs encased in billowing black clouds.

This ornate mirror was inspired by an original antique held in our BIGGS antique collection.

Baroque style mirrors are characterized by their gold or silver gilding and ornate carvings.  The carvings often feature feathers, flowers, angels and fruits.  The Baroque style is from the 17th century and used ebony or tortoiseshell inlays.
