This statue is 100% hand made from a single block of natural Indonesian river stone, the intricate carving of a Buddha. He is seated on a double lotus base in a full lotus position or padmasana with the soles of both feet facing the sky. His hands are clasp in front of his chest in the anjali mudra or namaste hand position of greeting, with prayer beads draping from his right arm. The Buddha has a calming smile on his face with down cast eyes and a thrid eye or urna on his forehead.

This stone statue has been hand carved by highly skilled artisans in Indonesia where an array of religions and beliefs are respected and celebrated by single communities.
