An interpretation of Venice: The Grand Canal with S. Simeone Piccolo in style of Canaletto, the original circa 1740 - one of his most carefully conceived and executed large pictures, and is impressive for the control of lighting and perspectival effects, and also for the lively representation of incidental details.
The domed 18th-century church of S. Simeone Piccolo (SS. Simeone e Giuda), was rebuilt by Scalfarotto and consecrated in 1738.
