The Boston Serpentine Sofa is a modern classic, with inspiration taken from a Chippendale sofa displayed in the Boston Museum. Starting out as a cabinet maker in Yorkshire, Thomas Chippendale went on to become one of the 18th century's most fashionable furniture designers
Firstly, crafted in our English workshops with contemporary styling, this sofa features traditional Thomas Chippendale charm and comfort with a sleek, modern design. The straight Mahogany legs support the solid wood frame. Following on with a jute and hessian upholstered seat, with hand sewn individual coil springs, ensures this piece is exceptionally traditional.
Lastly, hand upholstered and nail-studded, in a beautiful Utopia - Serpentwined fabric in the colour Charcoal. Featuring Adder snakes entwined amongst beautiful floral elements on a sumptuous charcoal background with highlights of gold and earthy tones. This velvet is stunning in upholstery, making for unforgettable, timeless results. A decorative celebration of the natural world, with a luxurious vibe and composition which flows beautifully on the fabric.
