The Coleridge is a traditionally English, handmade sofa inspired by 20th century designs. Including a humpback and sweeping scroll arms which was first displayed in 18th century England.. Its classic shape, and use of timeless fabrics only enhance this gorgeous Coleridge sofa.
Firstly, the Coleridge sofa has a solid beech frame that has screwed, dowelled, and glued, solid mahogany legs added. This goes on to support a traditional jute and hessian upholstered seat, with individual coil sewn springs. All made by hand in our English workshops. This further ensures the Coleridge sofa is exceptionally traditional and of timeless quality.
Lastly, a traditional and popular fabric, we have upholstered the Coleridge in Lymington Damask by Sanderson. Designed and made in the UK making it a favourite of ours for such a traditionally English piece. The addition of a wide range of soft neutrals and rich contemporary colourways in this fabric has only further added to the wide range of interiors this sofa can compliment.
We take pride in building and designing pieces like the Coleridge in our workshops for over 50 years, further continuing to reinforce our commitment to the artistry and craftsmanship of traditional English sofas.
